Special Ottawa Council Meeting
A Special Meeting of the Ottawa Council will be held on October 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Ottawa / Peoria Building, 2331 E. Eight Tribes Trail, Miami, Oklahoma.
The purpose of the meeting will be:
1 To discuss and vote on a Fee to Trust land application requested by another Tribe;
2 To review and discuss duties of the Business Committee positions; and
3 For the transaction of other business that may be presented.
Ottawa Council Open Forum
Meet and Greet with the Business Committee. An opportunity for tribal members to meet Business Committee officials. Will be held in the Longhouse at the Ottawa Tribe Powwow Grounds. Donuts and coffee provided.

The sole purpose of the meeting will be to take nominations for the recently vacated positions of:
1st Councilman – term expires 2028
Grievance Committee – term expires 2028
All candidates must be officially nominated and pass a background check before their names will appear on the election ballot. Tribal members must bring their tribal ID’s with them to the Nomination Meeting in order to count towards a quorum for the meeting.
